In the MORBnormalized multi element variation diagram given by Pearce(1983) ,the depletions of Ba relativeto Rb and Th are differentfor differentrocks.Asin the case ofthe Eu anomaly ,the Ba anomaly can be defined and calculated . The Ba and Eu anomalies show close positive relationships with each other. The geochemicalsignificance ofthe Ba anomaly is discussed in this paper.
