Objective: To observe the effect of dexamethasone (Dex) on the apoptosis of pancreatic β cells and the change of NADPH oxidase (Nox) expression. Methods: Rat pancreatic β-cell line INS-1 cells were divided into normal control group and different concentrations of dexamethasone treatment group. Cell proliferation was measured by MTT assay after 48 h of culture; apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC / PI; the expression of Nox1, Nox3, Nox4 and p47phox mRNA was detected by real-time PCR;
