Honeywell UOP recently announced that China Beitle Clean Energy will use UOP’s advanced methanol-to-olefins (MTO) process technology to convert methanol to high-value petrochemical products to meet the global demand for key chemical materials such as plastics . Honeywell’s UOP methanol-to-olefins process is a cost-effective method of producing methanol from methanol extracted from coal or natural gas, which is more cost effective than using imported crude oil. Its production of chemical components can be further processed into plastics, composites and other materials.
