请家堂,是在鲁中南山区(蒙阴、新泰、莱芜、沂水、沂南等县为主)广大农村颇为风行的一种祭祀习俗。“家堂”是“家中高堂”的简称。“堂”本来特指内堂,因而常被作为母亲的代称,如萱堂、令堂、高堂等等;在这里,用来泛指各代祖宗,想必是由“高堂父母”的意义引申而来。每代祖宗,相对下一代来说,当然都是“高堂”,所以“家堂”也就成了各代高堂,泛指各代祖宗了。谓父母为高堂,在我国由来已久,初唐陈子昂曾有“委别高堂爱,窥覦明主恩”(《陈伯玉集·宿空舲峡青树浦》)之吟唱,李白也曾有“抱
