INTRODUCTION The rising wave of globalization and the rapid technological developments have increased the demand for translation services in the human society and have spawned new forms of translation, translation products and translation processes. Scholars began to call for updating the concept of translation, thinking and studying new phenomena in translation activities and new problems encountered (Xie Tianzeng, 2015; Wang Ning, 2015). As a form of entertainment and aesthetics, the rising cinematic art has become a powerful competitor to traditional forms of literature such as novels, redefining its material attributes and semiotics
