Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common cardiac arrhythmias in clinical practice. Its incidence increases with age. A number of studies have shown that the incidence of AF in the elderly is significantly increased, with a prevalence of about 5% over the age of 65, Including paroxysmal AF about 25%, not only with persistent AF, permanent AF has the same risk of thromboembolism, and the elderly often exist underlying heart disease, easy to induce angina pectoris, heart failure and so on.
