苏芸金杆菌(简称Bt)是国内外公认的一种高效无公害细菌农药,对粮、棉、果、蔬、茶、烟、林、草及仓库里的多种主要鳞翅目害虫具有最佳防治效果。对人、畜、作物、天敌昆虫安全无毒,不污染环境和农产品,是目前国内外研究最深入、生产量最大,使用最广泛的一种生物农药。为扩大我国农田治虫面积,减轻环境及农产品污染和人畜中毒事故,促进农田生态平衡,缓解当前农药紧缺矛盾,减轻农民治虫负担,武汉大学病毒系设计出一种能将Bt培养基自控在饱和温度下进行恒温发酵的规范新工艺。该工艺耗能少、成本低、菌数高、晶体大,发酵水平处于国内外领先地位,已通过鉴定。
