张艺谋导演的《印象·刘三姐》以自然为媒介、将山水媒介化,并且把源于神话传说的形象——刘三姐置于漓江山水间,从舞台剧到电影再回归自然历经两次祛魅过程。在一次次的文化传播中,“刘三姐”成为一个世俗化的狂欢符号,《印象·刘三姐》在传播中成就本土文化产业的深层机理是值得探讨的,它的成功不是偶然,是多种相关机制综合作用的必然结果,是时间沉淀、意义变迁、祛魅提纯、自然资源与传统文化资源整合的结果。
