轮胎是汽车行走的关键性部件,它的作用是把汽车发动机的功率传递到地面。合理的轮胎设计是保证车轮发挥最好性能的重要条件。我国的轮胎设计始于1953年。在党的领导下,经过广大技术人员的努力,积累了一些经验。但我们的基础还很薄弱,测试方法很少,特别是有关轮胎力学方面的测试,还缺乏必要的手段。在1962年制订橡胶行业十年科技发展规划中,曾提出“标准轮胎”的研究任务,也列入轮胎计算公式研究等科研项目。而正当我们致力于实现这一规划,把轮胎的基础理论研究向前推进时,却遭到林彪、“四人帮”反革命修正主义路线的干扰和破坏,使科研工作无法正常进行,这样就造成和国外的差距拉大了。例如在轮胎设计方面,国外六十年代以来已经按内轮廓来设计,而我们目前仍按外轮廓设计,和国外水平相比落后了许多年;在轮胎负荷
