Western literature and art has never been far away from the topic of “aesthetics” and “aesthetic”. The aesthetic rejuvenation constantly advocated by American scholars known as the “New Aesthetic Criticism” School since the 1980s is essentially the modernization of European Romantic aesthetics that was not fully developed in the 18th century. For this reason, they interpret the key terms such as “experience”, “emotion”, “emotion” and unconsciously influenced by the middle-class elite culture. The formation and development of the aesthetic critique of “New Aesthetic Criticism”, represented by Lindsay Waters, and so on, profoundly reflect the good wishes of contemporary western aesthetic thinkers to arouse people’s cognition of the United States.
