In recent years, networks, computers and other new technologies have been involved in translation, which has promoted the development of translation. Recently, Google introduced the “Neuromechanical Translation System” (GNMT) as a revolution in translation. While the new technology has brought tremendous bonuses to translation, it also poses many problems for us. In the interviews, Professor Pan Wenguo firstly explained why the new technology will not replace the manual translation; then we discuss how we recognize and locate the translation in the new technological age; finally, in the new technological age, how do we re-understand the theory of translation and translation? The relationship between practice puts forward my own opinion.
