在煤田勘探中,对于厚煤层,可通过顶底板的反射时间差估算出煤层厚度。然而对于薄煤层,当其厚度小于调谐厚度时,根据widess原理,在时间域内已经不可分辨出薄层厚度。当地层厚度小于地震波长的1/8时,复合反射振幅与层厚度成正比,结合薄层的时间与振幅分析(TAMP),来研究薄层的地震响应特征。
In coalfield exploration, for thick coal seams, the coal seam thickness can be estimated from the reflection time difference between the top and bottom slabs. However, for thin coal seams, when the thickness is less than the tuned thickness, according to the widess principle, the thickness of the thin layer can not be distinguished in the time domain. When the thickness of the formation is less than 1/8 of the seismic wavelength, the amplitude of the composite reflection is proportional to the thickness of the layer, and the seismic response characteristics of the thin layer are studied in combination with the time and amplitude analysis (TAMP) of the thin layer.
