On November 20, 1937, the Kuomintang government announced the relocation of the Chongqing Declaration: “The National Government hereby moved to Chongqing today to adapt itself to the fighting conditions and make overall plans for the long-term war of resistance. It will thereafter engage in a more protracted war with the broadest scale. ”Chongqing, a relatively inland mountain town that was relatively isolated, shouldered the historical responsibility entrusted by the Chinese nation for freedom and liberation. The wartime capital was established as China’s political, military, economic and cultural center, but also destined to become the hub of China’s news activities.
