日本财团法人东丽科学振兴会(会长藤吉次英),最近颁发了第12次东丽科学技术奖。在地球电磁学方面取得很大功绩、并在国际上受到很高评价的力武常次教授荣获金质奖章和奖金300万日元。力武常次1921年生于东京。1942年毕业于东京大学理学部地球物理学专业。后来,任东京大学地震研究所助教、副教授,并代理过所长。曾到美国科罗拉多大学环境科学研究所任客座研究员。回日本后任东京工业大学理学部教授、东海地区判定会六成员之一、地震预报联络会第五期委员。现为东京大学名誉教授、 Japan Toray Science Promotion Association (President Fujikoshi Eiji), recently presented the 12th Toray Science and Technology Award.
