CIMS(计算机集成制造系统)技术的实质是籍助计算机硬件、软件,将企业主要生产过程中有关人、技术和经营管理的要素及其信息流和物流有机地集成并优化运行,以提高企业的生产和工作效率。CIMS由功能分系统和支撑分系统两部分组成,其关键技术主要有面向CIMS的经营管理技术、计算机辅助设计、计算机辅助工艺流程、计算机辅助制造、柔性制造技术和并行工程技术等。CIMS在我国的研究、开发和应用工作从1986年3月“863”高技术计划启动时开始,10多年来,走出了一条由信息集成到过程集成到企业集成的道路,从而扩大了CIMS的内涵,提出了更高层次的CIMS的概念,即现代集成制造系统。1994年以来,我国已在10多个省、直辖市的80多家企业中推应用CIMSI程,从而提高了企业的经济效益和综合竞争能力。为了更好地推广和交流CIMS技术和经验,有必要建设我国的CIMS信息网络(CIMSnet)。
