Perlevin’s novel The Pepsi / Generation can easily be seen as a vulgar inspirational story about Tartarski’s success. This article argues that the contemporary practical significance of the work is that the contemporary Russian intellectuals besieged by information and information have germinated the anticipation, warning and anxiety about the consumption era, and the works demonstrate a strong anti-consumption Utopia. Unique “consumer utopia - Russian landscape society” is supported by advertising and television, with money as the driving force, but behind the landscape is hidden terrifying picture of the world.
