In recent years, many newspaper articles have introduced Japan’s Arbor Day, but there are several explanations when it comes to specific dates. First, “the island nation of Japan is not called Arbor Day, and called the Green Week, the time is April 1 to April 7.” (March 10, 1983 Yangcheng Evening News Third Edition) there is a similar view scattered in China Environmental News, China Business Daily and other newspapers. Second, “In Japan, March 1 each year Arbor Day, all participating in tree planting.” (February 28, 1984 Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, fourth edition)
