38岁的李晓林曾于1985年、1989年两度赴德国深造,他是我国与德国联合培养的博士.现在,李晓林是中国农业大学教授、博士生导师.李晓林的专业是植物营养学.1992年,他在国际上首创五室网膜系统测定VA菌根菌丝际理化性质的研究方法,为菌根吸收养分机理研究的突破提供了基本方法;首次证实VA 菌根的根外菌丝能从根表向外展近12厘米,将植物根际吸磷范围扩大60倍;首次证明菌丝的吸收能力足以引起菌丝际土壤磷亏缺和PH值的显著变化,从而使VA菌根吸收土壤养分的机理研究由根际水平深入到菌际丝水平;
