Everyone wants to be slim. There are many choices to go on a diet. It is true that going on a diet can help you lose weight, but there are often unwanted side-effects. The lack of energy can make you look like a flat tyre①.
These dieting problems can actually be easily avoided just by feeding yourself with the right types of food. You only need to minimize② eating foods with high sugar or fat contents, such as sweets, ice cream and chips. In this way, you not only stay slim but also become more energetic with a lowered chance of getting heart problems.
Foods of low calories and high in fibers are good for you. Rice, beans and vegetables are therefore good for you. In addition, many vegetables are delicious, and according to the result of some researches, they would also reduce the risk of getting cancer. So, youd better eat more vegetables and less meat.
Apart from eating the right food, you can also control your body weight and develop body shape by doing exercises. There is no need to go for expensive games such as playing tennis or going to the gym. If you spend 15 minutes walking after each meal, you will soon see and feel the difference. The only secret about it, however, is: You must make this walk a daily personal habit. There is no quick way to fix your body shape. Patience③ is the key.
Notes: ① flat tyre 癟了的轮胎 ② minimize v. 使减少到最低限度 ③ patience n. 毅力
