图面材料具有直观性强，信息量开阔，通俗，易于接受和使用的优点。鉴于此，本文根据樟岭林场土壤调查材料，编制了樟岭林场土壤系列图。此图可为本场更新方式的选择、造林树种的选择、造林密度的确定、土壤改良地的选择制定科学而又符合实际的造林计划，对种子采集、育苗以及为计划预测等林业经营活动提供科学依据，为拓宽森林资源调查邻域开辟了新的渠道。
