In the United States, museums are often used as centers of community activity; while overseas, museums seldom have such uses, since in most cases other associations find ways to organize group activities. American museums will only be used for meetings at night or on weekends, and company staff are often the mainstay of such activities, often surrounded by enthusiastic organizers. These organizers either direct or support those who are knowledgeable and interested in joining community businesses. The success of a museum as a community center is measured by the spirit of collaboration between the museum and the public. There is no point in terms of collaboration, how many events are held or how many projects are sponsored.
