江西茶种资源调查整理工作是自一九五七年开始,几年来先后在主要茶区的“宁红”、“浮红”、“婺绿”和“饶绿”等地进行。以上地区按其自然生长状态,依据形态学及生学物上的特征特性如叶片大小、叶片形状,着生状况、叶子颜色,光泽、泡状度和锯齿的性状、芽叶数量,重量,植株分枝形式等等来测定农家茶种,根据这些性状大致可划分为三大系统类型。
