Eliot stood in an anti-romantic standpoint, thinking deeply about literary traditions and the writer’s personal talents. He opposed the idea that personal emotions overflowed and attention to literary traditions had a wide influence in academia. Broome in the United States, however, deeply felt the oppressive influence of the classic canon in the text “Fine Reading”, which gives the descendants an anxious state of mind so that the descendants try their best to make every effort with the giant literary giant Desperate contest. When Bloom named “a poetic theory ” as “influential anxiety ” when he “misunderstood ” planning “icon ”, Western canon ", the entire literature research community has its revolutionary tradition side. By cleaning up the traditional view from Eliot to Broome, this article argues that we should certainly respect tradition and respect traditions, but we must not regard tradition as a dead-iron piece. Tradition is a dynamic and organic whole that is self-regulating from time to time. With open-mindedness, it is a masterpiece of future generations. However, it should become the source and driving force of innovation and should become an innovative mechanism.
