Moriyuki Ochiai recently completed a botanical garden renovation project near Lake Ashi in Hakone, Japan, transforming it into a museum and multi-purpose space. There are mountains and water around the project, beautiful scenery. The building has a huge glass dome, and a large banyan tree in the center of the original botanical garden was moved to the side of the entrance to the present building. The architect poured new concrete on the floor at the entrance and built an octagonal amphitheater (the original circular banyan) in the center of the entrance dome.
