In recent years, some films reflecting overseas Chinese’s homesick love and reuniting with their loved ones have been released. This plays a certain role in propaganda of the party’s united front policy and education in patriotism. However, one of the problems in these films is hard to understand: why the masters in the film come back from overseas and visit relatives and friends always find their way home? Wearing expensive, swinging earth; with their accompanying or beautiful secretary, or actress, or delicate daughter. This can not help but ask: those military officers who fled in the past are also deceived by the Chinese workers in Dongdu or the hawkers who drift out of business. Can everyone become a million in a society full of exploitation and oppression? No wonder that many ignorant teens who blindly worship and yearn to live overseas after watching these films seem to think that the shit picked up in those places can turn golden.
