The various pharmacological effects of ecdysterone were summarized: the synthesis of RNA and protein; the metabolism of glucose; the promotion of lipid metabolism; the immunomodulation; the influence on the central nervous system and so on. Evidence shows that ecdysterone has high medicinal value.
