BACKGROUND: The exact mechanism of central nervous system injury in diabetes remains unclear. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the related factors of cognitive dysfunction in diabetes and even risk factors and carry out targeted interventions. It is of great significance to delay and prevent the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction in diabetes, Development has very important significance. Design: A prospective case-control study based on diagnosis. OBJECTIVE: To make a comprehensive analysis, judgment and study of several factors that may affect the cognitive function of diabetic patients in clinic so as to lay the foundation and direction for further large-scale study of diabetic population and determination of risk factors of cognitive impairment in diabetic patients. Location and Subjects: A total of 40 diabetic patients were enrolled, were randomly selected from 2002-02 / 2002-07, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Department of Endocrinology patients. Randomly selected 80 urban residents in Beijing during the same period as control. Intervention: Dementia expansion scale as a cognitive function evaluation tools, comparative analysis of diabetic patients and control group cognitive function score. At the same time, the cognitive function score of diabetic patients and related clinical indicators were analyzed by correlation analysis to identify the related factors of cognitive impairment in diabetic patients. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The regression analysis results of cognitive function score, cognitive function score and related clinical indexes. Results: The average score of cognitive function was 209.59 ± 20.77 in diabetic group and 224.28 ± 10.56 in control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.001). Correlation analysis of linear regression showed that the cognitive function scores of diabetic patients were related to HbA1c, age and basal level of insulin C, the correlation coefficients were -4.965, -0.605 and -3.729, respectively. Conclusion: Cognitive dysfunction of diabetes is more than one
