The compression test is probably the most widely used method in practical engineering geological studies. This method can measure the properties of one-dimensional consolidation soil and soil properties and deformation under one-dimensional drainage and consolidation. Triaxial tests can both measure the stiffness and strength of isotropic soils under undrained and drained conditions. In the triaxial test with high quality uniform deformation, careful consideration must be given to the test and detailed information should be taken. This includes data testing of the instrument’s endplates for lubrication, local stress, and pore water pressure. In the standard triaxial tests of actual engineering studies, usually the instrument has rough end plates and can
