初中中国地理和世界地理课本中,插图很多,指导学生充分运用这些插图,是地理教学中一个很重要的问题。运用得好,可以增强教学的直观性,加深学生对某些地区地理特征的认识和记忆,弥补学生感性知识的缺乏;可以启发思维,发展观察力,提高学生分析解决问题的能力。我在教学中要求学生仔细阅读每一幅插图,除了回答插图本身提出的问题外,我还经常出一些题目让学生思考回答,以加深对插图的理解。例如,对世界地理第六章第一节的“墨西哥湾暖
