The American psychologist Kirovich once had an interesting experiment; he randomly selected a student at Cornell University to have the student wear a very weird T-shirt and walk into the classroom. The conclusion is that 50% of students wearing weird T-shirts think they have noticed his dilemma, but only 23% actually noticed his weird T-shirt. This is the “spotlight effect.” If a person does not do well, he or she feels like he is standing in the spotlight, afraid that everyone will find himself wrong. No one actually cares for yourself as much as yourself. Because lack of confidence, they will overestimate the people’s attention to their appearance and behavior, resulting in self-pity.
