《推销员之死》被公认为是美国戏剧家阿瑟.密勒的杰作。文章从生态批评理论这一视角对这部经典戏剧重新解读,揭示这部作品中所蕴含的强烈生态关怀意识,指出密勒以先知的眼光审视现代人类生存的生态危机,表达了他对美国社会物质至上的发展方向的不满和对诗意栖居生活的渴求。
The Death of a Salesman is widely recognized as the masterpiece of American dramatist Arthur Miller. This article reinterprets this classic drama from the perspective of ecocriticism theory and reveals the strong sense of ecological concern contained in this work. It points out that Miller examines the ecological crisis of modern human existence from the perspective of the prophet and expresses his understanding of the American society Dissatisfaction with materialistic development direction and desire for poetic dwelling life.
