移动卫星系统(MSAT)计划为加拿大本土大面积地区的广大用户提供移动通信业务,以按申请分配 SCPC 通道来达到对有限频谱的充分利用。本文主要叙述移动通信业务按申请分配多址联接(DAMA)系统的技术条件和设计,重点放在用于提供用户/控制器接口的信令方案上。短呼叫保持时间特别要求有低的信令开销和低时延,导致在系统实现上采用了新型的混合技术。
The Mobile Satellite System (MSAT) program provides mobile services to a wide range of users in a large area of Canada to distribute the SCPC channels as per application to maximize the use of limited spectrum. This article describes the technical conditions and design of a mobile-communications service-by-application-for-multiple-access (DAMA) system, with a focus on the signaling scheme used to provide the user / controller interface. In particular, the short call hold time requires low signaling overhead and low latency, resulting in a new hybrid approach to system implementation.
