Objective To understand the prevalence and influencing factors of anemia in rural adults in Jiangxia district of Wuhan and to develop effective interventions. Methods A total of 3934 adults over the age of 20 were surveyed by stratified stratified random sampling method. The questionnaires and laboratory tests were conducted by a uniform method. Non-conditional Logistic regression analysis of the factors affecting anemia. Results The mean of hemoglobin test was (131.2 ± 33.3) g / L in rural adults in Jiangxia district, Wuhan. The mean of male was (136.5 ± 34.7) g / L and that of female was (128.7 ± 32.7) g / Anemia patients 891 people, the prevalence of anemia was 23.00%, male was 17.30%, women was 24.40%, women were significantly higher than men (χ2 = 15.23, P = 0.001); residents with hemoglobin levels tend to decrease with age The prevalence of anemia was the highest among men (70.4%) in the age group of 70 ~ (30.48%). The prevalence of anemia among women in the age group of 20 ~ (29.63%) was the highest (28.95% Logistic regression analysis showed that age (OR = 1.37, 95% CI: 1.15-1.63) and women (OR = 3.14, 95% CI: 1.26-7.81) were risk factors for anemia with good economic status 95% CI: 0.37 ~ 0.97) is the protective factor of anemia. Conclusion The prevalence of anemia among rural adults in Jiangxia district is high. Gender, age and economic level have a significant impact on anemia among adults. Comprehensive measures should be taken to prevent anemia in high-risk groups.
