在砂箱里压实型砂时,通常要求在整个砂箱平面上得到大体上相同的紧实程度。利用液压驱动多触头,当压头下移时,液压力使各触头与砂子的接触压力相等,从而可达到这一技术要求。但是,以这种方式压实型砂时,压头每循环一次,均使触头动作,故容易引起磨损和其它损害。磨损通常导致液压油泄漏并污染型砂。由于触头频繁地动作,常会使砂子楔入其间隙结块,这样就机械地阻止了触头处于适当位置。生产中有时也要求砂箱中某位置上型砂的紧实度比其它位置上的要高一些。而用液压驱动触头,各了触头的作用力相等,故不适宜完成这种任务。
Compaction of the molding sand in the sandbox usually requires that substantially the same degree of compaction be achieved across the sandbox plane.
