隐喻不仅是一种语言修辞手段,也是一种重要的认知工具。本文从教师和学习者的角度出发,简要描述了隐喻和英语多义词学习,以及习语学习的关系,尝试分析如何通过隐喻使学生更加灵活地掌握更多词汇等具体问题,从而指出研究隐喻认知理论有助于发现语言的内在联系,对于教学实践尤其是英语词汇教学有重要的启发和指导作用。
Metaphor is not only a language rhetorical device, but also an important cognitive tool. From the perspective of teachers and learners, this paper briefly describes the relationship between metaphor and English polysemy learning and idiom learning, and tries to analyze how to use metaphor to make students more flexible to master more vocabulary and other specific issues, thus pointing out the study of metaphor cognition. Theory helps to find out the internal connection of language, and has important inspiration and guidance for teaching practice, especially English vocabulary teaching.
