Writer Jane Reese gives the colonial peoples and colonial women an equal perspective in the “sea and sea algae” portraying the clashes between the British colonizers and the colonial peoples and the conflicts between the colonial women’s groups and colonial patriarchy, Subversion of patriarchal discourse centered on patriarchal discourse. This article argues that “algae is boundless” is a text based on the creative intention of challenging and subverting patriarchal discourse and colonialism.
