Ten years ago, Turkey’s medical system lagged behind other OECD member countries and middle- and high-income countries. It has never given enough attention to the authorities and it is out of reach for all to enjoy equal access to health care. However, Turkey’s current health system has long since shrank, showing a diminishing gap in health output, responsiveness and fair funding with OECD member countries and EU member states.
