日本一直在为马来西亚开发南海油气资源提供强大的资金和技术援助,并帮助建设液化天然气厂加工南海天然气。与此同时,日本借马来西亚产出的南海资源,保障了本国能源需求。近期,马来西亚总理纳吉表示,马计划注资13亿美元,建造液化天然气接收站,力争2020年成为亚洲地区最大的液化天然气贸易枢纽中心。
Japan has been providing strong financial and technical assistance to Malaysia in the development of its oil and gas resources in the South China Sea and has helped to build LNG plants to process natural gas in the South China Sea. In the meantime, Japan has secured the energy needs of its homeland by leveraging the resources of South China Sea produced by Malaysia. Recently, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib said Malaysia plans to inject 1.3 billion U.S. dollars to build a liquefied natural gas terminal and strive to become Asia’s largest LNG trade hub in 2020.
