作为被Granta杂志评为:“20位当代最好的英语作家”之一的萨拉·沃特斯,她的每一部作品都带来了相当巨大的反响。1966年,萨拉·沃特斯出生于彭布鲁克郡,位于英国威尔士。她先后在肯特大学和兰凯斯特大学学习英国文学,获得过诸多荣誉,如“年度英语作家奖”(2003)、“CWA历史犯罪小说匕首奖”(2002),入围“柑橘奖”(2002,2006)和“布克奖”(2002,2006,2009)等等,除此之外,她也有过图书馆的工作经历。文章从译本中语言技巧出发,对其进行系统的分析,希望对理解小说有一定的帮助。
As Sarah Waters, one of Granta’s best-selling author of 20 contemporary English writers, each of her works has brought a tremendous amount of response. Sarah Waters, born in Pembrokeshire in 1966, is located in Wales, England.
