“邸报”是中阔古代的宫廷官报。在歷史文献中,它有时被称为:“邸鈔”、“閣鈔”、“朝报”、“雜报”、“条报”、或“除日”。因为这种官报大多在首都出版,所以又通称为“京报”。远在公元前二世紀汉武帝初年,中国就出現了这种被称为“邸报”的宫廷报紙,它們是一种由地方藩鎮派駐在首都的“邸吏”,用竹簡把朝廷的命令傳报給地方的官报。
