人物简介:西奥多·舒尔茨(Theodore W.Schultz)1960年,美国著名经济学家、后来的诺贝尔经济学奖获得者西奥多·舒尔茨在美国经济年会上以主席的身份发表了题为《论人力资本投资》的演讲,轰动了西方经济学界。以此为标志,确立了人力资本理论,引起了学界的关注。舒尔茨认为,人力资本(Human Capital)主要指凝集在劳动者本身的知识、技能及其所表现出来的劳动能力,这是现代经济增长的主要因素,是一种有效率的经济。舒尔茨由此也被尊为“人力资本之父”。
Biography: Theodore W. Schultz In 1960, Theodore W. Schultz, the famous American economist and later Nobel laureate in economics, chaired the annual meeting of the U.S. economy In his capacity as a speaker on “Investing in Human Capital,” he staged a sensation in Western economics.
