MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, endogenous non-coding single-stranded RNAs consisting of 18 to 25 nucleotides in length that regulate gene expression by inhibiting mRNA translation by binding to specific target mRNAs, Occurrence, development, invasion, transfer are closely related. miR-203 is a type of small non-coding RNA derived from epithelial basal cells and highly expressed in epithelial cells. Because of its high correlation with malignant tumors and its contradictory expression, miR-203 has become a hot spot in the field of miRNA. Now miRNA-203 expression in different malignancies and methylation, target genes and other hot research progress are reviewed.
