Objective: To investigate the effect of coordinated control and treatment of ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexor muscles on hemiplegic motor function in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods: Thirty-nine patients with post-stroke hemiplegia were randomly divided into 2 groups, including 19 in the routine training group and 20 in the ankle coordination control group. The two groups were compared before and 6 weeks after treatment, Simplify the Fugl-Meyer Motor Scale FMA-L, Berg Balance Scale (BBS), 10m walking speed, and Holden walking classification. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment (P <0.05). After 6 weeks of treatment, the results of the two groups were significantly improved (P> 0.05) However, the improvement in the ankle coordination control group was superior to the conventional group. Conclusion: The coordinated control of ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexor muscles can enhance the motor function of lower limbs in patients based on routine rehabilitation.
