There are two exotic oriental gardens, the Chinese garden is the origin, the Japanese garden is a branch. China and Japan have had extensive exchanges since ancient times. Since the end of the Han Dynasty, Japan has continuously sent Han envoys to China to study Chinese culture in an all-round way. Among them, Japanese gardens developed under the direct influence of Chinese gardens. However, due to the very different geographical environment of the two countries and the differences between the two ethnic groups, China and Japan have different cultures with the same kinds of homologies. Therefore, although the present Japanese culture everywhere reveals the shadow of China, yet everywhere reflects the unique national personality of Japan, landscape art is no exception.
