我们中国汉字的特点是单音节,方块字;能组成对偶句。而世界上其他的文字基本上都是拼音连写,是不能组成严格意义上的对偶句的。所以,对联是我们中华民族文化宝库中特有的一朵奇葩。对联的基本要求有以下主要几点:字数相等,词性相近,语义相类,平仄相反。尤其是上联的最后一个字一定要是仄声,下联的最后一个字一定要是平声,叫作仄起平收。中国的对联十分丰富,欣赏起来妙趣横生;而撰写起来也往往因难成巧,苦中有乐。这些年来,笔者曾在不同情况下为不同的事情撰过对联现不揣浅陋,胪列出一 Our Chinese characters are characterized by monosyllabic, square words; can form a dual sentence.
