邓小平文艺思想以改革开放之后整体转型中的中国社会为基础，以马克思主义的实践哲学为精神实质，以马克思主义“人学”理论为科学内核，以强化文艺诸种社会功能协调发展为基本目的，从而具备了逻辑的周密性、理论的包容性以及明显的现实针对性。正是由于其美学内涵代表了马克思主义美学的最新成果，才使得邓小平文艺思想具有巨大的当代价值。
Based on the Chinese society in the overall transition after the reform and opening up, Deng Xiaoping’s literary and art thinking regards Marxist practical philosophy as its essence and Marxist “humanity” theory as the scientific kernel to reinforce the coordinated development of various social functions of literature and art , So as to have the logic of the doctrine, the inclusiveness of the theory and the obvious reality-specific. It is precisely because its aesthetic connotation represents the latest achievement of Marxist aesthetics, which makes Deng Xiaoping’s literary thought have great contemporary value.
