冯叔鸾是处于中国新旧戏剧更替的大背景下具有过渡性质的戏剧理论家。《啸虹轩剧话》和《戏学讲义》是其戏剧理论的代表作。他在这两篇文章中主要探讨了以下戏剧美学思想:剧本中心论与以美为标准和目的;舞台表演:“我即非我”;艺术性与思想性:戏剧艺术与美育的关系。对冯叔鸾的戏剧理论进行研究探讨,对于中国现代戏剧理论的研究工作来说是具有一定的学理意义的。
Feng Shuxian is a theatrical theorist with a transitional nature under the background of the change of the old and the new drama in China. “Xiao Hong Xuan drama” and “drama lectures” is the representative of its theory of drama. In these two essays, he mainly discusses the following dramatic aesthetics: script centralism and beauty as the standard and purpose; stage performance: “I am not my”; artistic and ideological: the relationship between theater art and aesthetic education. Studying Feng Shu-t’ai’s dramatic theory is of certain academic significance for the research of modern Chinese drama theory.
