美国著名心理学家罗森塔尔曾在纽约的一所中学里,从各班中随意挑选出十多位学生的名单,私下称赞一番他们各自的优点:或听课专心致志,或作业一丝不茍,或勤学好问,或回答问题积极等,并宣称他们都是最有前途的学生,同时把这些学生名单交给负责任的老师。结果这些私下受称赞的学生,在老师的关怀和鼓励下,刻苦好学,锐意进取,孜孜不倦。四个月后,奇迹出现了:在期末考试中,这些随意抽出来的受赞扬的学生,包括以前成绩中下等的学生,学习成绩全部优秀!这就是教育心理学上著名的“罗森塔尔效应”。
