D-galactosamine plus endotoxin lipopolysaccharide was used to establish acute liver injury model in rats. Liver samples were harvested at 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours after administration, and quantified by atomic absorption spectrophotometer (flame method) Analysis of iron, calcium, copper, zinc, manganese and five elements content. Results The levels of iron and calcium in liver increased gradually with the increase of hepatic injury, while the levels of zinc decreased. With the increase of malondialdehyde in liver tissue, the activity of superoxide dismutase decreased while the changes of copper and manganese did not change obviously. The results suggest that: acute liver injury, liver tissue iron overload, calcium overload and zinc content decreased.
