The Yellow River Basin Soil and Water Conservation Experience Sharing Conference and Commendation Meeting was held in Laiwu, Shandong Province, from September 11 to September 14, 1993. 120 delegates from provinces (autonomous regions) in the Yellow River Basin and water conservancy and water conservancy departments of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region attended the meeting. Comrade Yuan Long, former director of the Yellow Island Committee, and Comrade Wang Jiangong, vice governor of Shandong Province, attended the meeting and made speeches. The delegates visited Lianyu small watershed, Tao Lang town, Huangqian town, Xintiandi Xinwen office, Taitongyu small watershed, Longting Township, Tongyuehe small watershed, Luye Township, Laiwu City, Shandong Province.
